Metrolinx has integrated solar energy into the Rutherford GO Station as part of its sustainability efforts. The 216 kW system installed at the station produces around 261,576 kWh of clean energy annually, contributing to a greener transportation network. This initiative demonstrates Metrolinx’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of public transit infrastructure while promoting energy efficiency.
